Switch to Shopify: Migrate Your Product List

Drop the export of your old shop → columns are matched automatically → download the Shopify import file

Frequently asked questions

Which file do I need from my old shop?
The product export as CSV — in WooCommerce under "Products → Export", in Shopware, JTL, Magento or PrestaShop in the respective export area. An Excel file (.xlsx) works too; the tool reads the first worksheet.
Will my product data be uploaded?
The file itself stays in your browser — prices, stock levels and descriptions never leave your device. For the automatic matching we only send the column names (such as "SKU" or "Retail price") to our server, which has them matched by an AI model via the OpenRouter service. Only if you tick "Send sample values" do two sample values per column go along as well. The finished file is built from your file in the browser.
What happens if the automatic matching does not work?
Then the tool matches the columns by the similarity of their names — this works well for standard German and English names, less so for unusual ones. You see a notice and can change every assignment by hand. The matching is limited to a number of calls per day so that it can stay free of charge.
Two columns match one Shopify column — what now?
The tool shows the conflict and lets you choose: merge both columns (for example two keyword columns into "Tags") or take only one of them. Images cannot be merged, because Shopify expects a separate row per image.
How do I get the file into Shopify?
In Shopify, go to "Products", click "Import" at the top right and select the downloaded file. Shopify shows a preview before importing; variants with the same title are combined into one product.
Why are my special characters displayed wrongly?
Because the file was saved in a different character encoding than the program assumes when reading it — then "Größe" turns into "Größe". The "Check Shopify CSV" tab detects the encoding itself; if it gets it wrong, switch between UTF-8 and Windows-1252 there.
