Frequently asked questions
- Are my PDFs safe?
- Yes. Merging, splitting, rotating and compressing happen entirely in your browser — no file is uploaded, nothing is stored. Invoices, contracts and quotes stay on your device.
- Why does my PDF not get smaller?
- Space can almost only be saved on images: scans, photos, graphics. A PDF made of text alone is already small — there is nothing left to take away, and the tool says so. If an image PDF barely shrinks, choose the "Strong" level.
- Can I merge pages in a different order?
- Yes. After dropping the files, rearrange them with the arrows — the order of the list is the order in the result. To re-sort single pages, split the file first and then merge the pages again.
- Does it work with scanned invoices?
- Yes, that is exactly where it pays off: a scan is one large image per page, and "Compress" usually brings it down to a fraction of its size — right for e-mailing to your accountant or customers.
- Is the signature legally valid?
- A drawn or typed signature in the PDF is a simple electronic signature — like a scanned picture of your signature. It is sufficient wherever no particular form is required, such as quotes, orders or forms. This tool does not create a qualified electronic signature, which the law treats as equal to a handwritten one.
- Where are my signatures stored?
- Only in this browser’s storage on this device, as small images. They are not uploaded and never sent to us. Each signature can be deleted from the list individually; at most eight are remembered.
