How do I get the email into Gmail or Outlook?

“Copy email” puts it on the clipboard with its formatting. Open a new email in Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail and paste (Ctrl+V, on a Mac ⌘+V) — colours, buttons and images come along. For newsletter services such as Mailchimp or Brevo, use “HTML” and paste it into the service’s code editor; “.html” saves the same as a file.

What do the placeholders mean?

Spots that differ per recipient — first name, order number, appointment. Enter values on the right and see the result right away. Under “Placeholders for”, choose your service: first name, last name, email and unsubscribe link are then written in its syntax (for Mailchimp, *|FNAME|*), and the service fills them in when sending. In CleverReach, the fields are named as in your recipient group.

What applies to marketing emails?

Newsletters, offers, vouchers and even asking for a review count as marketing. They may only go to recipients who have opted in beforehand (in Austria § 174 TKG 2021, in Germany § 7 UWG), and they need an unsubscribe link and your company details. Templates of this kind bring an unsubscribe link and legal notice in the footer — enter your addresses for them.

Can I have a test email sent to me?

The tool sends nothing — so nobody can misuse it to send other people emails through us. Copy the email and send it to yourself from your own mailbox; that way you see it exactly as your customers will.

What happens to my data?

Nothing. The template, your details and any pasted HTML stay in your browser; nothing is uploaded or stored. Images are loaded by your browser straight from the address in the email — for pasted HTML only once you choose “Show images”.
