QR Code & Barcode Scanner
Start the camera or upload a photo → read the content
Frequently asked questions
- Which codes does the scanner read?
- QR codes and Data Matrix codes, plus the common barcodes: EAN-13 and EAN-8 on products, UPC-A and UPC-E, Code 128 and Code 39 on labels and delivery notes, and ITF on shipping boxes.
- The camera does not start — what now?
- The first time, your browser asks whether the page may use the camera. If that was declined, you can allow it again via the lock icon next to the address. It also works without a camera: upload a photo or screenshot of the code.
- Is it safe to open a link from a QR code?
- The scanner never opens anything by itself. It shows the full link first — check that the address matches the sender before you choose “Open link”. Fake QR codes on parking meters or in emails often lead to copied login pages.
- What happens to my data?
- Nothing. The camera image and the photo are only read in your browser; none of it is sent to a server or stored. The camera turns off as soon as a code has been read or you leave the page.
