Frequently asked questions

Who is the mini CRM for?
For freelancers and small teams who want to keep track of leads, open quotes and customers — without a CRM subscription or training. It is meant for one person: the contacts belong to your browser or your account; several people working on the same list at the same time is not supported.
How do follow-ups work?
Give a contact a date and, if you like, a short task ("chase the quote"). Whatever is due today or already overdue is shown at the top under "Due today". "Done" removes the follow-up and keeps it as a note; "Tomorrow", "In 1 week" and "In 1 month" move it with one click. There is no reminder by email or push — you see the due contacts as soon as you open the page.
Can I bring in contacts from Excel, Outlook or Google Contacts?
Yes, via a CSV file: in Excel "Save as → CSV", in Outlook "Export → Comma Separated Values", in Google Contacts "Export → Google CSV". Columns such as Name or First and Last name, Company, Email, Phone, Status, Tags, Notes and Follow-up are recognised, in English and German. Rows without a name and contacts that already exist (same email address, or same name and company) are skipped and listed with their row number. The export is a semicolon CSV file that Excel opens directly; a contact's notes are combined in one column.
What happens to my data?
Without signing in, your contacts stay only in this browser's storage — if you clear your browser data, they are gone, so back them up as CSV now and then. With an AlpenApps account, the whole list saves itself to your account (servers in Frankfurt) and is available on every device where you are signed in. Nothing else is sent anywhere: no AI, no emails, no sharing.
What do I need to consider about data protection?
You are storing other people's data, so the GDPR applies to you. Keep only what you need for the business relationship, write nothing in notes you would not show the person, and delete a contact or tell them what you hold if they ask — the CSV export helps with that. This is a pointer, not legal advice.
